Here is a round-up of the most interesting, top-rated cases and sleeves for Apple iPad and iPad Pro / Images: Amazon, Etsy
Here are the best iPad Pro 2017 cases from around the web, including genuine leather sleeves, stand case covers, keyboard cases, and more.

The 2017 Apple iPad Pro was introduced in two sizes (10.5 and 12.9-inch) at the beginning of June.

Both models share most features, so the only real difference between them is the size of the screen. The smaller iPad 10.5 costs $649 for the most affordable version. The prices of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2017) start at $799.

Both models feature Retina display with ProMotion technology. ProMotion automatically adjusts the refresh rate to the movement of the content. As a result, power consumption can be considerably reduced.

The new 64-bit A10X Fusion chip with six cores makes the 2017 iPad Pro tablets faster than most currently sold PC laptops. Thanks to the new processor, you can effortlessly play games, render 3D models, or edit 4K videos.

Both devices have full integration with Apple Pencil (sold separately), fully benefiting from the ProMotion technology.

Many users will also think about getting the original Smart Keyboard. Both iPad Pro models are ready to connect with this original Apple accessory. In the overview below, we’ll show some alternatives, including the one that connects via Smart Connector.

As usual, we complete the list with the dimensions. It’s good to know them when purchasing the case. If you are buying the sleeve, double-checking the size is a must, especially when the accessory is offered by a third-party seller.

iPad Pro dimensions ( height × width × depth )

Model Inches Millimeters
iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) 9.8 × 6.8 × 0.25 250.6 × 174.1 × 6.1
iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) 12.0 × 8.68 × 0.27 305.7 × 220.6 × 6.9
iPad Pro 12.9 (2015) 12.0 × 8.68 × 0.27 305.7 × 220.6 × 6.9
iPad Pro 9.7 (2016) 9.40 × 6.60 × 0.24 240 × 169.5 × 6.1

As you see, the dimensions of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro released in 2015 and 2017 are exactly the same. However, the location of the buttons, speakers, and slots is different. Most third-party sellers have already updated product pages of their old cases with the info that they fit only first-generation iPad Pro 12.9.

Obviously, it doesn’t affect the sleeves. So, if you already own the leather sleeve for the bigger iPad Pro (and it’s in a condition you still accept), you can use it for the second-generation model.

Where can I buy iPad Pro 2017 cases and sleeves?

And the last thing before the list. Check out our favorite online stores where you’ll find more iPad Pro cases.

Amazon – the best site to find alternatives for the original iPad case. There are currently 50 thousand iPad Pro cases offered on Amazon. It’s a good destination if you are looking for a more affordable case. You’ll find here leather sleeves, smart covers with Apple Pencil holder – in a much wider variety than in Apple’s online store.

eBay – when you’ll go through the branded cases on Amazon, you’ll find out that many covers have a quite similar construction, and differ only in colors. On eBay, you can find the similar cases. Most of them are unbranded, and that means you’ll be able to buy them for a lower – sometimes much lower – price.

Otterbox – the producer of the legendary Defender Series cases for several tablets and smartphones is now selling also the Rugged Daily Defence case for the iPad Pro 10.5. The version for the 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 is not available at the time of creating the post.

Etsy – this is our favorite marketplace for hand-crafted items. You’ll find here tons of beautiful iPad sleeves and covers. Many of these cases can be customized to your needs. If you want to get a unique, insanely cute sleeve – look no further than Etsy.
