Following recent rumours about Galaxy Tab 4, best summarized by The Digital Reader Blog, the 2014 generation of Samsung’s budget tablets was officially announced.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (please note, that unlike Tab 3, there is no space in the name) will come in three sizes, similar to last year generation:
- 7.0-inch – 1280 x 800, compared to 1024 x 600 of Tab 3
- 8.0-inch – 1280 x 800, the same resolution as Tab 3
- 10.1-inch – 1280 x 800, the same resolution as Tab 3
As you’ll see in the pictures below, the design of the new series is similar to Galaxy Note 3.
All three models have the same 1.2 GHz processor, 1.3MP front plus 3MP rear-facing camera, and 1.5GB RAM memory. The display is in WXGA technology, with a 16:10 screen ratio.
Galaxy Tab 4 models will be running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The 8-inch and 10.1-inch tablets will be offered also in WiFi / 3G / LTE versions.
No prices were given yet, nor the exact launch date. We can, however, expect Galaxy Tab 4 to be released in the second quarter of 2014, in white and black.
