Millions of books have been released to public domain and digitized. The same with other archives. And once something is placed on the internet, it’s impossible to take it back.

Open and unlimited access to information and knowledge is the big benefit to users. On the other side, it’s the big threat to copyright holders.

The internet is the biggest single threat copyright law has faced since it was first introduced. Governments, publishers, and other institutions around the world, are creating new laws to keep up with this ever-changing digital landscape.
