Here are the top 25 colleges in America in 2024, according to Forbes, together with their respective median postgraduate 10-year salary.

Data comes from the annual Forbes report of 500 schools that produce successful, high-earning and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds, with less student debt.

The Forbes ranking is based on 14 metrics, including graduation rate, alumni salary, academic success, and return on investment.

The rule is that colleges where students tend to graduate with lower debt loads receive higher scores for this metric.

A renowned Ivy League Princeton University is the No. 1 US university in 2024. The university has a 97% six-year graduation rate for low-income students. It covers 100% of tuition and housing costs for students coming from families that earn $65,000 or less, for the class of 2026.

California is home to the most colleges in Forbes’ top 25 list, including Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, and University of California, Los Angeles.
