Amazon is adding more deals for Mother’s Day 2016. As of May 1, several Fire tablets and Kindle e-readers are discounted.

May is usually a great time to shop for devices if you need them during summer holidays.
Especially the Kindle (any model, any version) is worth considering, as you will be able to read on it even in the brightest sun.
All deals are valid until Mother’s Day.
Save on Amazon Fire tablets
First of all, you can save big on the three out of four new Amazon Fire tablets announced in 2015.
- Fire 7 – the most popular, and highly affordable tablet from Amazon – the one that originally was priced at
$49.99– is now discounted by $10, so that you can grab by for only $39.99, - Fire Kids Edition – this special edition of the 7-inch Fire tablet comes with a protective case and 2-year worry-free guarantee. It now costs $79.99, instead of
$99.99, - Fire HD 10 – you can keep $50 in your pocket, if you buy Amazon’s 10-inch tablet that features a widescreen high-definition 1280 × 800 display. The price until Mother’s Day is $179.99 (
$229.99)
Save on Kindle e-readers (US only)
There are also three Kindle models that are now offered with a $20 discount:
- Kindle Paperwhite – the price of this popular e-reader goes under $100. It now costs $99.99 instead of
$119.99, - Kindle – the basic Kindle after the $20 price cut costs only $59.99,
- Kindle for Kids Bundle – the special price is now 779.99. As the price of the device for a long time was $99, not $139.99, you’ll save $20, not $60, as the price calculation on a product page shows.
Save on international versions of Kindle e-readers
The Kindle models listed above are available only for US customers, but Amazon offers also deals for users who shop from abroad.
Currently, three international Kindle models are discounted:
- the basic Kindle – the entry-level model costs until Mother’s Day $79.99 instead of
$99.99, and you keep in your pocket 20% of its list price, - Kindle Paperwhite – the WiFi-only version of the most popular Kidle model costs now $119.99 (
$139.99); please note that this version is expected to ship in one to two months, - Kindle Paperwhite 3G – if you want your Kindle to connect not only via WiFi but also 3G, you can grab this version for $189.99, instead of
$209.99.
