Oxford Dictionary has recently added a new set of words to their catalog of informal language.
You’ll find here such well-known words as “hangry” or “manspreading”, but there are also less popular – but not less interesting – examples.
Illustrator and designer Daniel Shaffer has visualized for Hopes & Fears some of these new words.
Of the 1,000 new words added, we picked our twenty favorites and had them illustrated, giving us a chance to contemplate (and laugh about) the ever-evolving English language.
Below there are our favorite illustrations. The entire collection can be found here.
