Google patents dual-screen e-ink device

Is Google seriously thinking of going into e-paper sector? Brave move, having in mind that a growing number of people prefer tablets for ebook reading.

Tablet News reports that the company has just filled a patent application for an e-reading device that folds like a book, has two e-ink screens, and a camera.

There are two disadvantages e-readers have: slow refresh rate of the display, and a single-minded purpose. How is Google going to deal with it?

This ebook was designed to ensure superior refresh rate, and will also allow users to connect a keyboard or a mouse to run other apps.

The device will have an accelerometer. One of the screens will be configured to reflect ambient light to display an image.
