The largest monastic library in the world, holding over 70,000 books, is a part of the Admont Abbey, Austria, one of the oldest monasteries in the world.
The interiors of the library are the iconic visuals for book lovers. They also inspire artists.

Montreal-based film director and photographer Benjamin Von Wong has recently made a photo shoot inside this incredible library. The project was inspired by magic of the Admont Abbey and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Never before any creative photo shoot took place in Admont Abbey. In a blog post announcing the project, Von Wong writes:
Doing a photo shoot in a library like Stift Admont had been a dream of mine that, for the longest time seemed completely unachievable. Preliminary emails and calls out to similar locations were consistently met with flat out rejections or exorbitant shooting rates.
He and his crew were given access after hours, so they had to extensively use numerous lights to reconstruct the daytime mood. With an outstanding result.
