Prime Reading was introduced in October 2016, as a part of Amazon Prime multi-benefit subscription program.

The new service gives unlimited access to current issues of popular magazines, but most importantly, it includes a selection of over 1,000 top-selling Kindle ebooks. All Prime Reading eligible titles are free to download and read.
At launch, such books as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone or The Hobbit were included. As the list of ebooks is rotating, we wanted to check out how attractive is the selection a few months after the launch.
The highlighted books from the initial list are gone, but there are lots of new titles. Most of them are published by Amazon’s own publishing houses, so they are known to heavy Amazon customers, but not so much to the general public.
However, the current list of 1,057 Prime Reading titles, includes a few highly recognized books.
First of all, you can read 1984 by George Orwell, a dystopian novel that made its way back to bestseller lists on the wave of political changes in the US.
Is there anyone who doesn’t know The Little Prince? This universal tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery can be re-read as many times as possible, at any age.
You can also find here Life of Pi, the beloved novel from Booker Prize winner Yann Martel.
My personal favorite is What If? by Randall Munroe, the creator of the extremely popular webcomic, xkcd. The book gives hilarious and at the same time very informative answers to numerous questions you probably never thought to ask.
There is also a couple of interesting non-fiction publications. I’d go for TED Talks Storytelling by Akash Karia, a book describing in detail twenty-three storytelling techniques from the best TED Talks.

Last but not least, you’ll find on the list of March 2017 Prime Reading titles several travel guides from Lonely Planet. Cuba, Italy, Japan, Iceland, Morocco, Peru, Ireland, Thailand, China, you name it!
By default the list is sorted by “Featured,” and this means it was decided by Amazon editors which books are on top. Also, there is no way to find specific titles within Prime Reading eligible catalog. Therefore, the most rasonable way to search for interesting books is to go through the selection page by page.
