We Inspire Futures, a Canada-based community that sparkles ideas on education, has prepared an extremely interesting infographic that details how technology is impacting Canadian teachers and students.
Besides device adoption (it’s interesting to compare it to US), the infographic includes figures on using social media and applications.
Examples:
- 1 in 10 students in grades 6-12 have sent out an academic tweet,
- 1 in 5 students have used a mobile app to organize schoolwork.
As far as demographics is concerned, 77% of Canadian homes have internet access. Over 70% of students feel positively about using the technology in the classroom.
