Last year, in addition to Kindle Daily Deals, Amazon launched longer-term promotion scheme called “100 Kindle Books for $3.99 or Less”. Since that time a new catalog of discounted books is revealed at the beginning of each month.
Initially, the number of books was around one hundred, but recently Amazon has removed the “100” mark from the deal’s title – clearly in a move to expand the list.
There are 141 titles in this month’s catalog – but this is not the big news. The biggest news is that books featured as monthly deals have their own list of bestsellers, and just like on any other Amazon bestseller list, there are 100 titles on it.
Initially I was wondering whether it made sense at all to launch Top 100 bestseller list out of 141 titles, but soon realized that this is another, and clearly very effective recommendation tool. Readers choose books based on descriptions, reviews, ratings – and sales figures.
The thing the book is discounted is actually against its value, so showing it sells better than other bargain titles may be the final reason to buy it.
How to find bestseller list of Monthly Kindle Deals
The bestseller list has its own URL address, but I’m not sure if it will be there in the future, so the most certain way to get to the list is to:
1. Go to Monthly Kindle Deals landing page.
2. Scroll down the page to reveal the section with a headline: “Kindle Store : Monthly Deals for $3.99 or Less Best Sellers”.
3. Click on a link “See all Best Sellers in Monthly Deals for $3.99 or Less”.

How to get RSS feed of Monthly Kindle Deals
As every Top 100 list on Amazon, bestsellers in Monthly Kindle Books for $3.99 or Less have a dedicated RSS feed. Both the bestseller list and the RSS feed are updated every few hours. The feed displays top 10 titles, and the same book may enter it several times.
1. If you are already on a bestseller list of Monthly Kindle Deals, simply scroll down the page.
2. Below you’ll find a small headline saying “RSS Feed”. Click on a link “Subscribe to: Best Sellers > Monthly Deals for $3.99 or Less“.

3. Most probably you’ll be presented with XML document tree. Copy its URL address and paste it into “Add a new subscription” field of your favorite RSS service.
