Here are all Marvel comics available via Kindle Unlimited and Amazon Prime Reading

Want to quickly check out which comics from Marvel are available in Kindle Unlimited or Amazon Prime Reading? Here’s how to do it.

At the beginning of May 2017, select Marvel comics joined ComiXology Unlimited – Amazon’s $5.99/month subscription service that offers unlimited access to digital editions of comics, graphic novels, and manga.

If you like to read not only comic books, you may be pleased to hear the new deal brings Marvel comics and graphic novels to two other subscription services from Amazon:

  • Kindle Unlimited – ebook subscription giving access to 1.4 million digital publications – ebooks, comics, and magazines,
  • Amazon Prime – multi-benefit subscription which includes Prime Reading – an access to a rotating list of 1,000 ebooks, comics, and magazines.

How many Marvel comics were initially added to Amazon subscription services? Don’t expect too much. It’s 38 titles in Kindle Unlimited, and 20 comics in Prime Reading. On the other hand, the beloved characters are here: Guardians of the Galaxy, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Black Panther, The Avengers, or Iron Fist.

At the end of the post, you’ll find out which Marvel comics were available in Kindle Unlimited and Amazon Prime Reading at the date of Marvel-Amazon announcement.

If you want to check out what’s currently on offer, follow these simple tips.

Marvel comics in Kindle Unlimited

Which Marvel comics are available in Kindle Unlimited

Kindle Unlimited is an ebook subscription service offered by Amazon. For $9.99 a month, you get unlimited access to over 1.4 million Kindle ebooks (including comics and graphic novels), thousands of audiobooks, and dozens of magazines.

There are 8,000 comics and graphic novels in Kindle Unlimited already. The initial list of 38 Marvel comics looks terribly pale, but it should be quickly growing.

How to check out which Marvel titles currently come with Kindle Unlimited? Amazon has a special directory where all Kindle Unlimited eligible titles are listed. You can narrow down the results to Marvel comic books that are included in Kindle Unlimited.

Kindle Unlimited titles can be read both on Kindle e-readers and Kindle apps for Amazon Fire, iPad/iPhone, Android, and other mobile platforms.

Reading comics on a black & white 6-inch screen of a Kindle Paperwhite is not a good idea, not mentioning the fact Kindle e-readers still don’t support comic book format.

However, you’ll be able to read Kindle Unlimited comic books using the Kindle app on your tablet (the larger the screen the better).

Find Marvel comic books on Amazon Prime Reading

Opposite to Kindle Unlimited, the number of Marvel comic books in Prime Reading won’t be growing. It’s due to the nature of the service.

As a part of Amazon Prime membership program, Prime Reading gives access to the list of titles that are being replaced every month.

Therefore, if in one month you’ll find here 40 Marvel titles, don’t expect to get 80 the next month, but a different set of 40 titles. Hopefully, they will be the next parts of the series.

The construction of Amazon Prime Reading is more suitable for those who prefer to read magazines, serialized fiction or comics, and wait for the next editions.

An initial list of Marvel titles available via Prime Reading included 20 comics. You can check out what’s currently on the list by visiting Amazon’s list of Prime Reading eligible Marvel comic books.
