The all-new, basic Kindle 2024 model will be released by Amazon on October 1, featuring a display with 25% brighter illumination and a dark mode.
Wondering whether Amazon will release any new Kindle this year? Wonder no more. The newest basic Kindle 12th-generation 2024 model will be launched as soon as on October 1, as reported by Good E-Reader.
No official news from Amazon so far, but the listing of the newest Kindle has been accidentally placed on the Spanish Media Markt website (update: the listing has been already removed).
From what Good E-Reader editors have been able to learn, the new basic Kindle will feature a better display, with a 25% brighter illumination, which will make it easier to read in both the light and dark mode.
There is no mention of the warm light display option, so we should assume this feature is not coming to the basic Kindle this time.
The new Kindle 2024 will be available in two colors. Besides the default Black variant, you will be able to order a cool Matcha Green.
As you will see on the leaked images below, the newest Kindle will still have the receding display (no sleek front glass, sorry).
The rest of the features seem to be the same as the earlier model: the display with 300 ppi resolution, 16GB of the internal storage, and USB-C port.
