Today – and today only – you can buy Amazon’s top-shelf e-reader for a price comparable to a new Kindle Paperwhite.
The certified refurbished Kindle Voyage (Wi-Fi and special offers) costs only $94.99. The latest price of a new Voyage, before it was removed from the offer, was $149.99. It means you can save more than one-third. Compared to the launch price of $199.99, your savings are over 50%.
The version with Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity is available for $111.99 ($159.99). There is no ad-free Voyage version available at the moment in the Refurbished Kindle Outlet.
If you were waiting for Black Friday 2018 to get Kindle Voyage for a reasonable price finally, here is your chance to buy and enjoy it earlier. The deals on refurbished and pre-owned Kindle and Fire models are usually attractive during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but what brings a big question mark is availability.
It’s worth adding that for a limited time other refurbished Kindle models are also available at highly attractive prices:
- Certified Refurbished Kindle, 8th-generation – $59.99 (
$79.99) – in stock on October 16, - Certified Refurbished Kindle Paperwhite – $79.99 (
$99.99), you save $20, - Certified Refurbished Kindle Oasis – $209.99 (
$249.99), 8 GB, Wi-Fi, with ads.
What does “certified refurbished” mean?
A refurbished device is the one that has been returned by a customer and tested by the seller or producer for functionality and defects.
Amazon selects only the devices that look like new, and ships them with a 1-year limited warranty – the same warranty that comes with every new Kindle.
More about Kindle Voyage
The Voyage was released in October 2014 and was the first e-reader with 300 ppi display resolution. It was the most advanced and thinnest Kindle before Oasis, offering the brightest front light – by 39% brighter than in Kindle Paperwhite.
The most exciting feature of the Kindle Voyage is PagePress. It enables the user to turn pages without raising a finger. It happens thanks to custom-designed sensors on the left and right side of the front bezel – it’s where your thumbs usually rest.
Although the device is four years already, it’s more sophisticated than Kindle Paperwhite, which has not been upgraded since 2015.
