How to find OverDrive-powered library

OverDrive is the leading global distributor of ebooks, audiobooks, but also music and video. The company hosts more than 1 million digital titles, and has just released the data showing that in 2012 as much as 70 million ebooks and audiobooks were checked out from associated libraries.

There are 22,000 libraries, schools, and colleges worldwide that are powered by OverDrive. You may be surprised that a public library in your neighborhood offers not only print books but also ebooks.

There is no need to visit the library in person to check out the ebook. You can do it via library’s website. What you need to have, however, is a valid library card.

How to find out which library offers OverDrive titles? It’s easy.

1. Go to OverDrive’s search page: search.overdrive.com.

2. Next, select Library Search tab (see picture below). You can type your city, postal code or a name of the library. A list of closest locations will be displayed.
