A new book from Forbes shows how the publishing industry can embrace AI

“Shimmer, Don’t Shake” is a new book by Nadim Sadek. It has just been released by Forbes and is already available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Artificial intelligence is disrupting the publishing industry in many unexpected ways.

There has been a flood of AI-generated Kindle books, pushing Amazon to change the rules for self-publishers.

A group of 17 authors, including Jodi Picoult and John Grisham, sued OpenAI for using their copyrighted works without permission to generate creative content.

On the other hand, Stephen King is not afraid of artificial intelligence, saying he wouldn’t object to his work being used to teach AI programs.

Is artificial intelligence a chance or threat for authors and publishers?

You may find the answers in a new book written by Nadim Sadek, the founder of Shimmr AI, an online platform that focuses on publishing, making under-monetized book titles more productive.

Shimmer, Don’t Shake: How Publishing Can Embrace AI focuses on how artificial intelligence is reshaping book writing and publishing.

The book explores the evolving landscape of the publishing industry and the integration of the AI to revolutionize the way books are promoted, matched with readers, and valued.

💬 By leveraging AI technologies, publishers can optimize product descriptions, create unique marketing copy, and generate personalized book recommendations.

Shimmer, Don’t Shake is a practical guide to using AI to promote and engage readers. It goes beyond theory and provides practical advice on how to use AI in the publishing process. It also addresses ethical concerns about AI and the importance of preserving the artistic merit of writing.

The book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, in both print and ebook editions.

  1. I think most of us are embracing AI on some levels, but as far as writing my books from start to finish, no. Yes, I used AI to check my spelling, grammar. Being dyslexic, I lack the confidence so having something that can check my work as I’m writing is great. I would feel as though I was somehow cheating to have AI write my whole book for me.
