Among hundreds of literary t-shirts people wear to show their love for books and reading, these ones are the ultimate fashion statement.

Created by Litographs, they are entire books on t-shirts.
Litographs cooperates with over 20 designers from all over the world to create the exceptionally stylish works of art. The block of text is being used as a background color. A negative space forms the shapes that cleverly refer to characters, plot, or a major subject of the book.
The idea of a book t-shirt was created by Danny Fein. Following a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, Litographs expanded the collection of designs to over 100, and added different color options for the user to pick up.
The collection is constantly growing. You’ll find here most popular classic books, such as Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, or Hamlet by William Shakespeare. There are also contemporary titles, with Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, or Seth Godin’s Poke the Box.
Classic books are still the prevailing part of the collection, but you’ll also find here (and be able to buy and wear) poetry, essays, story collections, among others. New inclusions are inspired not only by books, but also movies (Pulp Fiction, Clerks, Kill Bill).
We’ve seen already entire novels being printed on posters, but getting a readable text on a piece of clothing is a much more difficult task. Check out the video below to see how it’s done.
The artwork is hand-pressed on the entire surface, different on front and back. The technique used for that is dye sublimation. Thanks to that, every inch of the t-shirt can be covered with ink. Most importantly, the text – which has the size of 14 px at most – can be read without any problem.
You can buy the t-shirts directly from Litographs website. There are three clothing styles to choose from: unisex, women’s v-neck, and women’s crew. You can pick the size from S to 3XL.
No matter which design, size, color, and clothing size you choose, you’ll pay one price – $34. If you live in the US, you’ll get the tee shipped for free.
Besides the t-shirts, you can order the same book designs on posters and tote bags. And, wait, there are also beautifully designed temporary literary tattoos, too!
