Kelly Campbell Berry is an artist living in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma. In 2011 she started her adventure with sculpting books. The effect is amazing, as you’ll see on the pictures below.

Opposite to other book sculptures, where the book is used as a raw material, the works of Kelly Campbell Berry are based on the book both in form and content.
These gorgeous 3D works of art are made by cutting out original illustrations from the actual book, and arranging them into a beautiful, rich scenery.
For instance, The Wizard of Oz sculpture is made from one copy of the L. Frank Baum’s classic, with illustrations by W.W. Denslow, and is a one-of-a-kind creation.
I have sculpted antique books, new books, nearly destroyed books, graphic novels, magazines, classics, first editions, paperbacks, and photo albums. Each sculpture is different. I never know what a sculpture will look like until it is finished. I do not plan them out, they simply create themselves.
You’ll find all the sculptures on Kelly’s website, ArtfuLiving. You can also find some of the works in her shop on Etsy.
Do you have a favorite illustrated book? You can contact Kelly, and she will make sure you’ll see the book come to life again.
