The UK book industry stats, most well-read cities, and top-selling books – find all this info in a new infographic.

Almost 100% of infographics about books, libraries, and reading are based on data from the US.

The visual, which has just been published by the courier company Parcel Hero, is a noble exception. It was released to celebrate The Man Booker Prize 2015.

In celebration of the Man Booker awards, we can reveal just how the UK likes to read its favorite authors, who in the country reads the most and where we get our books from.

In the visual, you’ll find a couple of sections. The most interesting part shows the most well-read cities in the UK (note: it refers to ebooks only). Doncaster, Spalding, Rochester, and Newton Abbot are among them.

There are also figures about the UK book industry. In 2014, print revenues fell by 5%, to £2.7bn, ebook revenues reached £563m (up 11%), what makes a total number of £3.3bn – a 2% increase over 2013.
