You may need John-E-Reader more than you think (video)
A bathroom is a place where many people like to read. Meet John-E-Reader. It’s a hand-sewn pouch tailored for an e-reader or tablet and designed to hang from your toilet paper roll holder.
John-E-Reader is in a development phase. It’s a project run on Kickstarter by Chad Ruble. He is going to make the pouch in two colors – white and midnight blue. There are two sizes planned: standard and jumbo. Standard ($23) works with tablets and e-readers up to 5.5 inches wide. The jumbo size ($27) is great for larger tablets like the iPad.
This is a pretty straightforward sewing project. All of the materials should be readily available. As I wrote above, there’s nothing particularly complicated about the sewing production. Further, the laser cut handles are standard acrylic. As soon as I hit my goal, I’ll be able to start producing John-E-Readers.
There are still 19 days to go and over $1,500 to pledge. Support John-E-Reader if you can.
