New technologies and their impact on higher education (infographic)
A new infographic, courtesy of Online Degrees, based on New Media Consortium’s technology predictions, shows how new technologies will shape higher learning in one, two, and five years to come.
The technologies in focus are not only the ones that have already took off, like mobile devices and applications, but also emerging trends. The Internet of Things, augmented reality, game-based learning, or wearable devices – all this is predicted to be used by colleges and universities in the US no later than in five-year time frame.
