Kobo Touch 2.0 is an entry-level e-reader, released in September 2015. It replaces the first-generation Touch that has been around since May 2011.

The new e-reader from Kobo doesn’t have the glowing display, like Kobo Glo, but on the other side the printed books don’t have it either.

Kobo Touch 2.0 launch price is $89.99. The price is lower than for the version of the basic Kindle model that doesn’t have ads – something the Kobo doesn’t have by default.

The price of the new Kobo is low enough to invest in a good cover. Obviously, it can be a solid and cheap case you can find on eBay, but maybe it’s time to think about something more elegant and fashionable.

If you have owned the Kobo device before, you know what’s the biggest problem when it comes to covers – there are not enough designs that are tailored to a specific Kobo models.

There are lots of e-reader cases made specifically for Kindle (and Kindle Paperwhite in particular), but not for Kobo or Nook.

Happily, the Kobo Touch 2.0 can “borrow” the cases from other e-readers, thanks to the same dimensions.

As you see, the new Kobo Touch has exactly the same size as Kobo Glo HD. That means most of the cases that fit Glo will also fit Touch.

What’s interesting, even the original cases from Kobo have a label saying: “for Glo HD and Touch 2.0”.

If that doesn’t give you enough options to choose from, you can extend the search to the cases made for Kindle Voyage.

The e-reader from Amazon is only 5 mm higher than Kobo Touch 2.0. That means most cases that use elastic corner straps (but not plastic shell) should be a good fit for both devices.

eBay – on eBay you can find many cases that are exactly made to fit a specific Kobo model, or are universal e-reader cases. They are unbranded, and that means you’ll be able to buy them for a lower – sometimes much lower – price.

Rakuten – while Amazon and eBay are obvious choices, there are also other sites to explore. One of them is Rakuten, an online store having the same owner as Kobo ebookstore.

Chapters Indigo – while the availability of original cases is limited on a Kobo website, you’ll find them all on Chapters Indigo. Plus, some of the accessories are actually cheaper than on Kobo.

Etsy – a top destination for vintage and handmade items, art, and supplies. There are sleeves made from a natural cotton, or customized felt covers, or jackets made from a genuine leather – the number of available items is endless!
