How to send any web page to iBooks, Nook, or Kobo app

There are several browser extensions or applications that you can use to add content to Kindle. However, it’s not so easy to find a good tool that can send any web page to iBooks, Nook, Kobo, or any other e-reading application or device which supports epub file format.

This tool does the job very well and very quickly. It’s the one you probably know: Readability.

When you download Readability Read Now bookmarklet or browser add-on, you can use these tools to prepare an epub file of any web page. What’s very important, the layout is clutter-free and displays only the content of the main article – this is what Readability is about, after all.

How to use Readability to generate epub for iBooks, Nook, or Kobo app

1. If you find the web page which you’d like to add to your iBooks or Nook or Kobo, click on the Read Now bookmarklet or select Read Now from Readability browser add-on (see picture below).

2. You’ll see the clean version of the web page. Now, go to the toolbar on the left and click on the second icon from the bottom, as indicated in the screenshot below. The epub file should start downloading automatically.

If, for some reason, the epub can’t be generated, you can append “/download/epub/” to the end of the web address.

The last thing is to add the file to the e-reading application. You can send to yourself an email with an attached epub and open it on a mobile device. You can also use cloud storage services like Dropbox.
