It was clear, that Kindle Fire will shake the tablet market and it was clear that it’s not an iPad killer. Amazon’s most important product since 1st generation Kindle will be hitting other tablets on the market.
This chart from Social Nuggets is shocking. It shows the intent to purchase:
– on the left – before the announcement of Kindle Fire (September 1 -27, 2011)
– on the right – after the announcement (September 28 – November 7, 2011)
As you see, intent to purchase iPad has gone half way down, but check Other Android Tablets and Other Tablets to see the scale of disaster.
Were you going to buy a tablet this season? Was it iPad or an Android-based device? Is Kindle Fire changing your preferences? Like in this funny comic?
