E-paper screens, like the one used in Kindle Touch, are perfect for displaying text (no back light), but it’s still impossible to play moving pictures, and this is due to a slow refresh rate of this kind of screens.
A member of the Mobile Read forum hacked Kindle Touch to play a video – the episode of the famous Simon’s Cat series – in sync with audio track. In a clip below you’ll see the result.
The only question is: do we really need a video in a device devoted to get rid of all distractions and focus on reading?
