Interactive timeline of the electronic book
We are very often sharing interesting facts from the history of ebooks and I’m sure the chart you see below will catch your attention. It’s an interactive timeline of e-books and e-readers, created with Timetoast.
Timetoast is a wonderful site, where users can learn about historical timelines of important events. On top of that, they can also create their own charts.
Each timeline can be seen in two ways: as an interactive chart, where events pop out on mouse over (click on the event’s dot and a more detailed information window will appear). You can narrow the time frame by sliding edge buttons at the bottom of the chart. The other way to look into the data is a simple table view – you’ll have to visit the original site to enable it.
The timeline, entitled “The Short History of eBooks”, was created by audacia14. Some facts should be double checked, but the chart is really a useful way to quickly learn about milestones in the history of electronic book. Check it out below and don’t hesitate to learn more on Timetoast.
