Concept library in Romania aims at reinventing disregarded spaces (video)

Public Libraries 2020 is a project helping 65,000 European libraries change lives by building stronger local communities.

On the project’s YouTube channel you can see examples of how creative libraries can be in implementing the goal.

On of the most interesting ideas comes from Astra Sibiu County Library, Romania.

The cozy library was being set up in a Marpod county, and wants to transform dusty, disregarded places into modern knowledge hubs “where everyone from the community feels welcome to learn and share.”

Watch the video and you’ll realize the library is so cozy it feels more like a living room, where people love to spend time together.
