When it comes to ebooks, Black Friday is not, let’s say, “fully consumed” by online retailers. Amazon set up Black Friday Kindle Deals page, but there are actually less deals on electronic books than on print books. I’m sure it will be changing for the better year after year. It’s not about rushing to stores, but  getting ready to hunt for deals. It doesn’t matter if it’s offline or online. The only difference is that online shopping is much more comfortable.

Some of the deals listed below are valid longer than by the end of Friday, so check landing pages for detailed info on eligibility. You can also come back to us to check recent ebook deals that we list on a special page, updated a couple of times a day: Top ebook deals. You can also subscribe to our daily deliveries with discounted books:

Kindle Store

Black Friday Kindle Daily Deal - Wool Omnibus Edition by Hugh HoweyAmazon launched Black Friday Store on November 1st, but as I said, so far Kindle ebook deals were less attractive than print book deals.

All discounted ebooks are collected on this Black Friday Kindle Books page, buy we’ve found some very attractive offers elsewhere, too. Here is the round-up.

Kindle Daily Deal

Today’s Kindle Daily Deal should meet everyone’s expectations. As much as 25 books are featured. Each one sells for $1.99. This time the titles are not selected by genre or author. Today, you can pick up from books that were previously featured on Kindle Daily Deal and were customers’ favourites.

The books are grouped into 5 categories: literature & fiction, mysteries & thrillers, romance, science fiction & fantasy, biography & memoir. Fans of Philip K. Dick will find Ubik. There is also Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five. But the most attractive offer is Wool Omnibus Edition by Hugh Howey. The book collects all five volumes of the bestselling Wool hi-tech series, and costs only $1.99.

Free Kindle ebooks during Black Friday time

Many authors who publish directly to Kindle Store want to benefit from a bargain hype and decrease prices of their books – or even make them free. These free books are not listed on an official Black Friday Kindle deals page, but it doesn’t change the fact that they are attractive, not only when it comes to prices.

You can browse for free Kindle books on Twitter, using tags #kindle and #free, or just go to the list of Top Kindle Bestsellers (right column) and find out which free books enjoy most downloads. This is what I’m doing pretty often.

I’ve found a couple of great titles on a list. Love Will Find a Way by the New York Times bestseller author Barbara Freethy is currently at #1. Other recommended books: The Devil’s Deep by Michael Wallace, and Ten Shades of Sexy – a special collection of love scenes from erotica books by 10 authors, including Kathryn Shay and Julie Ortolon.

Kindle Books for $3.99 or Less

In a November edition of this monthly selection of discounted books there are more bestsellers than usual, so it’s good to browse through the titles. The list includes Oliver Pötzsch’s The Hangman’s Daughter, Jeffrey Archer’s Only Time Will Tell, and The Righteous by Michael Wallace.

30 Kindle Books for $3 Each

This is a special list with extra titles discounted before the Black Friday week – and it remains valid until December 5, so there is still some time to make a decision. The Detachment by Barry Eisler is on the list, as well as J. Carson Black’s The Shop, and Already Gone by John Rector.

⇢ Featured Humor, $2.99 or Less

A couple of days ago 5 recently published books from a blogger Freeman Hall were added to Black Friday Kindle deals. Good to check if you’re looking for books on the humorous side of the shelf.

The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz for $2.99

Also featured in Black Friday Kindle deals. Two romance novels by Tiffany Reisz, The Siren, and its sequel The Angel, are 70% off for Black Friday.

Kindle covers for $15 or less

If you’re looking not only for Kindle ebooks, but also Kindle accessories, you should look further than Black Friday Store. You won’t find a lot there. In fact, on Amazon there are a lot of discounted products that do not enter any promotional channel like Gold Box, and have to be discovered by users themselves.

Yesterday we collected 10 affordable Kindle covers. They come from trusted brands and are priced $15 or less. They are currently discounted by 25% to 67%, so if you’re using Black Friday time to hunt for good accessories, the list seems to be a good destination.

Nook Store

Black Friday Barnes and Noble - Kate Spade Rain or Shine Magazine Cover for Nook Simple TouchThe shining star of Black Friday from Barnes & Noble is Nook Simple Touch, which got a $40 price cut and costs today only $59. You can buy it only in Barnes & Noble stores – the discount doesn’t apply to online purchases. The promotion runs while supplies last, so if you really want to leave the store with an e-reader in your bag, you’d better get up early. One customer can buy up to 5 devices.

The good starting point to online Nook bargains is the Black Friday home page on Barnes & Noble site. Below you’ll find deals for Nook books and accessories.

50% off adult books

The list includes 73 titles. From what I’ve checked, most of the titles have both print and Nook editions. The titles are, in my opinion, more attractive than ones in the Kindle Store. You can get, for instance Emily Giffin’s Where We Belong ($14.99), or Waging Heavy Peace by Neil Young ($12.99).

Nook Simple Touch accessories sale

As I said, no info about discounts is available on the results page, but once you open a single accessory’s info page, you’ll be surprised with a saving. You can save 50% on Kate Spade Rain or Shine Magazine Cover. It costs only $14.75, instead of a regular price $29.50.

Vera Bradley tablet covers 20% off

Vera Bradley bags and accessories are 20% off during Black Friday, and I found three very stylish tablet covers that are $30.40 instead of $38.

The book featured today is Lady Sophie’s Christmas Wish by Grace Burrowes. The price is $0.99 (unusually low) and you can save 87% if you buy the book today. Unfortunately, there is no Nook Daily Find Families today, which is a bit surprising. Let’s see if Cyber Monday will bring more bargains.

Books for under $10

You can also browse through the list of over 150 books that are priced $10 or less. The list is sorted by price, from lowest to highest.

This list is ongoing, and you can find here bestsellers with their prices being temporarily reduced. Patricia Cornwell, Ken Follet, Vince Flynn, and Clive Cussler books are here.
