Five best-selling authors share their self-publishing experience [video]

Five authors of bestselling titles published via Amazon’s self-pub platform Kindle Direct Publishing, talk about traditional publishing and new opportunities created by the rise of self-publishing.

Theresa Ragan sold over 300,000 books through Kindle Direct Publishing, including four books from a list of Top 100 Kindle bestsellers. Maria Murnane’s first novel, Perfect on Paper, reached #2 in the Kindle store. Deborah Reed’s wrote Carry Yourself Back to Me - the book was selected as one of Amazon’s 100 Best Books of the Year for 2011. James Altucher switched exclusively to self-publishing despite successfully authoring 6 books with traditional publishers. Melinda Leigh sold over 100,000 copies of She Can Run and became a 2012 International Thriller Award Finalist.
