New IFTTT Kindle on Amazon Gold Box recipe

Today I’d like to share another IFTTT Kindle recipe: if any Kindle device or Kindle-related item appears on Amazon Gold Box, then send me an email.
First, however, a couple of words about IFTTT. I’m a big fan of this service since I first used it a couple of weeks ago. It’s one of the smartest web tools available, full stop.
IFTTT is based on a really simple idea – “if this then that”. In our case: if any item with a keyword “Kindle” arrives on Amazon Gold Box, then send me an email. But IFTTT is not only about using available recipes. You can create your own one or modify recipes shared by other users.
Ok, back to our recipe. It will send you an email every time anything with a “Kindle” in title or description is added. You can expect deals on Kindle devices, but not only them. You’ll get notifications any time Kindle accessories are featured. From my experience is happens very often and the brand which is constantly on Gold Box is CaseCrown. Every month a new set of books is added to 100 Kindle Books for $3.99 or Less - you’ll get a reminder as well. Last but not least, most attractive books (actually, sets of books) from Kindle Daily Deal are also added to Amazon Gold Box, so you’ll get them even of you don’t subscribe to Kindle Daily Deal feed.
This recipe is based on the original RSS feed from Amazon Gold Box. In order to use it, you’ll need to register to the IFTTT. You can grab the recipe from here:
IFTTT Kindle/Kindle-related item on Amazon Gold Box
Anyone who is constantly checking deals on Amazon Gold Box, knows how many of them are fired up every day. It’s hard to dig the items you’re really interested in, that’s why a keyword filer would a great feature.
Now, the best part about this IFTTT recipe comes. You can replace “Kindle” with any other keyword. For example if you type in “iPhone”, you will receive iPhone-related deals.
All you have to do is to go to the recipe, and under Trigger, in a field called Keyword or phrase, type in what you are looking for. Click on a Use Recipe button and don’t worry any more that you’ll miss any good deal.
