How to add any item to Amazon Wish List from an iPad

If you are an Amazon customer and use Add to Wish List regularly, you may want to know how to do it on iPad. I’m not talking about Amazon’s webpage – the option is there. As you may know, you can add to Wish List any item found on any page. Currently Amazon runs a promotion to encourage that – ten $2,500 gift cards to win.

If you want to make sure you won’t forget about any book found when using an iPad, here is a simple idea: install Amazon Wish List bookmarklet (what is bookmarklet?) in an iPad’s Safari browser.

How to do it

1. Grab the code from below – select the whole line, then copy it to clipboard (press Ctrl+C).

2. Paste the code into an email, send email to yourself and open it on an iPad (preferably in a native Mail app). Grab the code.

3. Go to Safari, open any page you want and add it to bookmarks (we will replace the code with the right one in a next step).

To bookmark a page, go to Options icon in a top left corner and tap on Add Bookmark. You can change title to Amazon Wish List and save it to Bookmarks Bar for quick access.

 4. Edit the entry – go to Bookmarks icon in a top left corner and then Edit. In Amazon Wish List bookmark replace current address with the right code.

5. Done. Now you can add to Amazon Wish List any item found on any website in your Safari browser.

This bookmarklet also works in Safari on iPhone and iPod Touch, but it’s much less comfortable as it’s not optimized for a small screen.
