There are around 150 links on an average book page in Kindle Store
Internet is making us more and more distracted. On one hand the more choices we have the better, on the other–every next option is keeping us away from what we’re really looking for.
The most important information about the book is it’s description. It’s what the author wants to say to the reader. Why should we hide it with tons of hyperlinked bits of information which are less important?
We counted the number of visible links on an average book page in Kindle Store. The result is frightful: around 150! Do we really need that much to make a decision to buy or not to buy a book?
The title, the author, the cover, the description and the price–this is all what is needed. That’s why at Ebook Friendly we reduced the number of visible links to 20. Because we know that every unwanted message is making us more distracted and less willing to read a book.
